Are there times when you should avoid compression knee sleeves? You should talk to your doctor before using a sleeve, since without diagnosing your injury, a compression sleeve may make it worse. If you have a wound or you’re recovering from knee surgery, make sure your doctor says it’s safe to use a sleeve
